As part of their topics ‘Things People Do’, Years 1 and 2 had a visit from ‘The Bart’s Teddy Bear Hospital’ team on Wednesday.
The children spoke to medical and dental students about their sick toys.
They taught the children about what Doctor’s and Dentist’s do. The children were introduced to medical equipment and taught about the importance of personal hygiene.
The children had a great time, learning about what organs they have in their bodies, how to put on a plaster and the names of some of the medical equipment.
The aim of the workshop was to reduce anxieties children may feel when they go to see their doctor or dentist. The children really enjoyed the workshop. Thanks to all the medical and dental volunteers. Thank you Bart’s Teddy Bear Hospital Clinic!
